Job summary

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in a customer service/front desk role or a graduate of a front office/medical office program.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Special Skills: professional demeanor, strong customer service, multi-tasking, critical thinking, computer literacy, and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately in the EMR, verify insurance coverage, and collect required payments.
• Advise patients on billing procedures and anticipated charges to clarify liability.
• Maintain patient flow, schedule appointments, and ensure a best-in-class patient experience.
• Balance accounts, arrange payment plans, and monitor financial responsibility.
• Assist patients with access to government and community health resources.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure referrals meet payor requirements.
