St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Part Time Patient Access Representative to manage patient registration for outpatient and ED settings. The role requires accurate demographic capture, insurance verification, and real-time eligibility checks, with emphasis on a smooth patient journey.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, quickly.
• Insurance background preferred and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous medical administrative experience or health care education preferred.
• Knowledge of health information system (Epic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and validate patients in hospital information system to ensure EMR integrity.
• Cross-train in outpatient and Emergency Department areas across locations.
• Handle patient registration including demographics, insurance verification, and eligibility.
• Promote MyChart usage and patient self-service capabilities for engagement.
• Assist with Welcome Kiosk and On My Way technology to streamline patient flow.
