Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Patient Access Representative for outpatient and Emergency Department registration. The role involves accurate patient identification, insurance verification, and real-time order transcription to ensure efficient care and payment.

The position is full-time with evening shifts, requiring excellent customer service and familiarity with health information systems, preferably Epic, to support seamless patient experiences across campuses.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly.
• Insurance background preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Knowledge of health information system (Epic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and register patients accurately in the hospital information system.
• Handle pre-reg and post-reg needs including demographics, insurance verification and referrals.
• Assist with patient flow and welcome kiosks to enhance the patient experience.
• Coordinate with practices and departments to ensure smooth registration and payment process.
