Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Patient Access Representative for the Easton ED to manage patient registration and ensure accurate EMR data entry. This role supports outpatient and emergency services, coordinating with departments to verify insurance and collect payments.

You will provide friendly service, assist with Welcome Kiosk and MyChart workflows, and cross-train across sites. The schedule is Nights, part-time, with alternating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Certificate/Degree in health care related field preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly required.
• Insurance background preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Knowledge of health information system (Epic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and validate patients in hospital information system to ensure accurate EMR entries.
• Handle pre-reg and post-reg registrations including demographics, insurance verification, and payment collection.
• Cross-train across outpatient and Emergency Department locations as needed.
• Greet and assist patients and visitors with courteous service and guidance.
• Promote MyChart and patient self-service tools to improve engagement.
• Coordinate referrals and pre-authorizations to minimize denials.
