Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (or equivalent).
• 2 years Medical Clerical experience preferred.
• 2 years Behavioral Health Care experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days (Required).
• First Aid certification within 30 days (Required).

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in person or by phone for referrals and admissions to psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.
• Completes pre-admission and admission data as part of the admissions process and maintains logs for patient tracking and wait times.
• Coordinates with patients, referral sources, and law enforcement to ensure required documentation is signed and added to the medical record.
• Performs thorough insurance verifications, pre-authorizations, and communications to ensure reimbursement.
• Assists with safety checks, supplies, and inventory; supports patient transports and coordination with various RHS service lines.
