Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Revenue Cycle Clerk in the South Suburban IL area. The role focuses on patient registration, financial counseling, and accurate data entry in EPIC EMR with strong HIPAA adherence.

The position requires high school graduation, 40 hours/week, 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) with rotating weekends/holidays. Pay range is $20.80–$31.20 per hour. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record as foundation for patient care.
• Check in/register patients; collect demographics and insurance details.
• Discuss and collect co-pays; ensure timely payment and privacy per HIPAA.
• Explain insurance responsibilities; refer to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Educate patients on insurance coverage and pre-certification rules.
• Provide exceptional customer service and help with transport or directions.
• Manage EHR work queues according to department process.
