This position serves as a key point of contact for patients, families, and visitors by facilitating inpatient admissions, outpatient registrations, and emergency department registrations while ensuring the highest level of customer service and accuracy. The Patient Access Specialist plays an essential role in the patient experience by collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information, maintaining accurate patient records, operating the hospital switchboard, performing cashier functions, and assisting patients and visitors throughout their time at FMH.
