Fairfield Memorial Hospital Association in Fairfield, IL, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN Emergency Department shifts. The role includes direct patient care, triage, medication administration, and patient education within a fast-paced ED environment.

Requirements include an accredited nursing degree, IL RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS/TNCC or TNS within specified timeframes. This position offers a $40.00/hour rate with weekday/night and weekend differential and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS certification within 3 months of hire; PALS within 6 months; TNCC or TNS within one year; Pediatric education 8 hours every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including assessments, monitoring, and documentation.
• Accurately triage patients and respond to emergent situations.
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Supervise and orient Emergency Department Technicians and new staff.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and provide quarterly updates on departmental action plans.
