Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a friendly front desk receptionist to ensure a seamless experience for patients, staff, and referrals. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance details, collect payments, and schedule follow-ups including cast and prosthetic care planning.

The role requires strong communication, basic medical front office knowledge, and comfort with computer systems. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are preferred requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or front desk roles.
• Receptionist duties or medical front office familiarity preferred.
• Strong communication and computer skills required.
• Able to type at least 30 words per minute with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details.
• Collect patient payments at the front desk (deductibles, copays, coinsurance).
• Coordinate follow-up appointments including cast/measure delivery and prosthetic care planning.
• Serve as liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
