Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist 2 to join our physician office teams. You will handle patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and basic medical records support to ensure efficient, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include assisting with phone inquiries, collecting demographics, posting payments, and supporting junior staff. Epic EMR experience is preferred. We offer benefits and a collaborative work environment in Texas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare or office setting.
• Experience with medical insurance verification and patient data entry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and visitors with check-in and check-out, scheduling, and phone inquiries.
• Verify insurance information, demographics, and update records in the system.
• Post payments and process charges; generate daily reports as needed.
• Answer routine inquiries and direct patients to appropriate areas.
• Support medical records duties and basic chart handling.
• Mentor junior staff and help train teammates when requested.
