Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service experience preferred in healthcare.
• Experience communicating with patients and providers.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out for medical visits.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with enrolling and utilizing MyChart.
• Enter, update and validate patient demographic, insurance & financial information.
• Communicate information to the care team.
• May contact insurance companies regarding coverage and billing.
• Collect and process patient payments (copays, coinsurance, deductibles).
• Assist with completion of paperwork and forms.
• Process EPIC work queues and inbasket messages.
• Schedule referrals and follow-up visits.
• Scan documents into EPIC accurately.
• Support new hire orientation and training.
• Identify and propose process improvements and projects.
• Exceed team productivity and quality standards.
• May cross-train as a Provider Administrative Assistant.
• May schedule surgical procedures.
