• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years in healthcare or customer service.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to protect PHI and maintain confidentiality.
• Familiarity with EPIC and MyChart.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in/out for medical visits.
• Answer phones; schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with MyChart enrollment and use.
• Enter/update patient demographics, insurance and finances.
• Communicate information to the care team.
• May contact insurers about coverage or billing issues.
• Collect and process patient payments (copays, balances).
• Handle paperwork; scan documents into EPIC.
• Work EPIC work queues and inbasket messages.
• Schedule referrals and follow-up visits.
