Job summary

SEARHC is hiring a Patient Care Coordination Specialist I to serve as the initial point of contact for patients and providers. You will assist with registration, scheduling, and verification, ensuring high quality customer service and accurate data in the EHR.

This role emphasizes attention to detail and adherence to workflows in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include check-in, outbound outreach, appointment confirmations, and maintaining confidentiality per SEARHC standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED - preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - preferred.
• One year of healthcare, customer service, or administrative experience - preferred.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and front-end revenue cycle basics.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary contact for patients, providers, and staff via phone, email, or in person.
• Registers and pre-registers patients, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance data.
• Performs patient check-in and supports self-check-in processes and co-pays.
• Schedules, reschedules, and cancels appointments across service lines per protocol.
• Manages workload related to scheduling and patient communication; supports care team.
