Qualifications

• No educational requirements. Completes designated HBI courses within one year of hire.
• Pre-registers and schedules patients for appointments and procedures across multiple service lines.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and guarantor information.
• Communicates with patient care teams to ensure efficient care.
• Enters data accurately into the electronic health record while conversing with patients.

Responsibilities

• Patient identification, registration, and scheduling with cost estimates.
• Full pre-registration of patients calling to schedule appointments.
• Coordinates scheduling of services including ancillary and procedure scheduling.
• Handles incoming calls and follow-up/referral queues.
• Maintains accurate data in EHR during patient interaction.
