Qualifications

• Previous Patient Access Representative or Patient Scheduler experience.
• Completion of Healthcare Business Insight’s Patient Access 2nd Level Certification Program within six months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients to obtain demographics, financial data, and health information for registration and billing.
• Collects insurance cards/IDs and updates patient information in the medical record.
• Performs point-of-service data collection, collects co-pays, reconciles the cash drawer, and reports daily deposits.
• Maintains all work queues and supports the clinical team as directed.
• Answers incoming calls, schedules appointments, and refers to clinical staff as needed.
• Sanitizes registration equipment between uses and restocks basic supplies.
• Other clerical duties as assigned.
