Job summary

VillageMD seeks a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, schedule appointments and tests, answer calls, collect and post payments, and maintain smooth patient flow across locations.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, English proficiency, and basic computer skills. 0-1 years’ experience is required; 2-4 years’ experience is preferred, with potential satellite-office travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 0-1 years’ experience required; 2-4 years’ experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Basic proficiency in computer use; knowledge of medical office terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, patients, and families in a friendly, professional manner and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments and tests; navigate multiple applications and patient records.
• Answer phones promptly and handle caller needs with professional etiquette.
• Collect cash payments, issue receipts, post payments, and reconcile daily transactions.
