The role requires handling incoming calls, scheduling intake appointments, verifying insurance, identifying patient amounts due, and assisting uninsured patients with AHCCCS screening referrals.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in business or healthcare preferred.
• 1–3 years of insurance verification or front desk experience in a medical office.
• Knowledge of AHCCCS, insurance, and strong customer-service skills.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients and verify demographic information for accurate records.
• Create and maintain patient electronic charts in the EHR/EPM system.
• Answer clinic phone lines and route calls as needed.
• Schedule intake appointments within established timeframes.
• Obtain AHCCCS information and insurance details.
• Complete insurance verifications for each visit.
• Identify funding sources for uninsured patients and refer AHCCCS screening.
• Notify clinical team when registrations are complete.
• Schedule follow-up appointments as directed by clinical staff.
