Genesis Hospital is seeking a Patient Access & Scheduling Associate to greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, and register for services. The role includes collecting payments, coordinating with scheduling, and ensuring accurate data entry in the patient accounting system.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least six months of relevant experience, with strong communication and HIPAA knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and families and collect/verify demographic, insurance and financial information.
• Register patients for services and route to appropriate departments to ensure smooth flow.
• Collect co-payments, co-insurances and balances at check-in; provide financial education as needed.
• Validate Medicare and other insurance requirements for service authorization.
• Obtain and process physician orders; scan and file documents.
• Assist in directing patients, coordinating transportation and answering questions.
