Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months' experience in physician office, hospital, or clinic registration or payer activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Accuracy and time management; strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a shared leadership environment.
• Knowledge of insurance documentation requirements, patient accounting systems, and data entry codes.
• HIPAA confidentiality regulations.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and quick judgment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors; determine needs and provide directions or assistance.
• Register patients by collecting and verifying demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information.
• Enter data into the patient accounting system and secure required signatures.
• Collect co-pays, co-insurances, and balances; provide financial education and referrals as needed.
• Validate Medicare and Non-Medicare cases for clinical/financial clearance and coordinate with physicians for clarifications.
• Obtain and scan physician orders, and ensure proper document filing in the system.
• Provide patient information and directions, assisting with scheduling and department coordination.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and quality data integrity in daily operations.
