Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelor's preferred.
• 1–2 years in medical or healthcare office experience.
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology, insurance authorization, and benefits.
• Proficiency with healthcare billing practices and obtaining authorizations.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register arriving patients and verify insurance.
• Answer incoming calls and direct according to urgency.
• Enter/Update patient demographics and schedule appointments.
• Collect co-pays and explain billing policies.
• Coordinate referrals and ensure required paperwork.
• Provide back-up support to front desk staff and maintain reception area.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve processes and patient experience.
• Maintain knowledge of Rehab procedures and patient history requirements.
