Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Customer Service Representative for the Care Connection Contact Center in White Marsh, MD. Under supervision, you will greet callers, collect patient information, schedule appointments across physician practices and locations, and facilitate communication with staff while delivering a positive patient experience.

You will use Centricity Business and MedConnect EMR, support multiple subspecialties, and help maintain registrations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 2 years customer service experience preferably within a healthcare setting.
• Experience working in a hospital or medical office scheduling environment preferred.
• Typing 40 WPM and strong computer literacy required.
• Excellent interpersonal and telephone/written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stress.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the achievement of department goals and adheres to policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards.
• Assists and troubleshoots scheduling appointments and selecting physicians by subspecialty or location.
• Completes call processing efficiently and manages peak call volumes.
• Cross-sells locations or physicians per protocol.
• Demonstrates MedStar Health mission and patient care philosophy.
• Keeps knowledge of Centricity Business and MedConnect EMR.
• Develops and distributes weekly activity reports.
