Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Patient Access Representative for Family Practice. The role is Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day shift, with a salary range of $23.16–$31.26 per hour. You will coordinate scheduling, insurance verification and pre-certification while serving as a liaison with physician practices for pre-visit services.

The candidate will pre-register patients, collect balances, verify coverage, and arrange prior authorizations. Strong customer service and time-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year medical office or related customer service experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and CPT/ICD-10 coding is Preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-register/register patients with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Collect patient balances, co-payments, co-insurance, or other payment types.
• Verify coverage and obtain prior authorization/referrals before patient arrival.
• Respond to customer inquiries and assist with departmental coverage as needed.
• Manage daily appointment schedules and reminder calls.
