Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Patient Access Representative - Clinical Support for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position in Oregon. The role supports scheduling, insurance verification and pre-certification while acting as a clinical liaison with physician practices.

Responsibilities include pre-registering patients, collecting balances, verifying coverage, handling referrals, responding to inquiries, and managing daily schedules. Strong customer service and medical office experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year medical office or related customer service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographic and financial data; may use mobile cart.
• Collects patient balances, co-payments, co-insurance, or other payment types.
• Verifies coverage and ensures insurance requirements are met; obtains prior authorization/referrals as needed.
• Responds to customer inquiries.
• Assists with departmental coverage as needed.
• Manages daily appointment schedules and may make reminder calls.
