Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Patient Access Representative - Pediatrics for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The role coordinates scheduling, insurance verification and pre-certification, acting as a clinical liaison with physician practices involved in pre-visit services.

The candidate pre-registers patients, collects payments, verifies coverage, and handles inquiries. Strong customer service and office skills are essential, with a focus on accurate data entry and timely communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of medical office or related customer service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Collects patient balances, co-pays, co-insurance, or other payments.
• Verifies coverage and ensures insurance requirements, including prior authorizations where applicable.
• Responds to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
• Assists with departmental coverage as needed.
• Manages daily appointment schedules and reminders.
