Job summary

PVH Potomac Valley Hospital is seeking an Administrative Clerk to manage patient registration and billing processes in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The role includes collecting demographics, handling insurance information, and guiding patients through payment options; related CMA duties may be assigned.

You will support front-desk operations, verify orders and assist with basic clinical tasks as needed. This is a 40-hour weekly position located in Keyser, WV.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable) as required for regulated areas.

Responsibilities

• Obtain demographic, billing and insurance information from patients and enter into registration and billing systems.
• Complete managed care pre-certifications and authorizations when required.
• Prepare consent forms and privacy notices; obtain electronic signatures.
• Collect deposits, co-payments and other patient liabilities; issue receipts and document payments.
• Prepare patient armband and balance daily receipts; follow up on flagged accounts.
• Assists with immunizations, medication refills and ECGs as needed.
