Job summary

You will collect demographic, billing and insurance details, explain charges, and help patients understand payment options in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include obtaining pre-certifications, preparing consent forms, recording payments, balancing cash, and coordinating scheduling within hospital workflows while maintaining accuracy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and any applicable federal checks.
• Experience with patient registration and billing systems.
• Knowledge of insurance requirements and pre-certifications.

Responsibilities

• Obtain demographic, billing and insurance information and enter into systems.
• Collect deposits and payments and document transactions.
• Prepare consent forms and obtain electronic signatures.
• Balance daily receipts and manage cash drawer.
• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments.
• Verify orders and ensure service readiness.
• Perform basic screenings for coverage.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality per policy.
