Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a patient scheduler to pre-register and schedule appointments, procedures, tests, and other services. You will answer calls, manage follow-ups and referrals, and provide cost estimates and itineraries for upcoming visits.

This role supports efficient patient flow and cross-functional coordination within the Duluth clinic network. The position involves full pre-registration, insurance verification, and accurate data entry into the electronic health record, working

Qualifications

• Patient identification, registration, and scheduling, with estimates and documentation.
• Full pre-registration of all patients calling to schedule an appointment, including updating guarantor information and verification of insurance eligibility.
• Coordinates scheduling of services for patients, including ancillary and procedure scheduling.
• Handles incoming calls, follow-up and referral work queues, ticket scheduling.
• Proficiently enters data into the permanent electronic health record while speaking with patients.
• Works with care team to provide optimal customer service and clinical outcomes.
