Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• HIPAA compliance and patient data handling.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients for appointments and verify demographics accurately.
• Monitor patient wait times and communicate changes to patients as needed.
• Assist with insurance verification and proper assignment of primary/secondary/tertiary coverage.
• Explain financial obligations, collect copays/deductibles as applicable, and process prepaid amounts at service time.
• Schedule follow-up appointments, including specialty or ancillary services, where appropriate.
• Process multi-channel messages related to appointments, referrals, prescriptions, and complaints.
• Conduct medical record maintenance and releases per department policy.
• Assist with referrals and pre-certifications at the time of encounter.
