Geisinger is seeking a Patient Access Representative to deliver outstanding front-line support in a busy care environment. You will greet patients, verify demographics, schedule appointments, and assist with referrals and required forms.

This full-time position emphasizes empathy, professionalism, and accurate processing of insurance information, copays, and patient communications. Hazardous or confidential information handling is part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle office politics professionally.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register incoming patients and support the check-in process.
• Schedule future appointments and coordinate referrals and pre-certifications.
• Explain financial obligations and collect payments at the time of service.
• Assist with medical record maintenance and releases.
• Provide kiosk or reception support and monitor patient wait times.
