Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a front-line support specialist to handle patient check-ins, registrations, and scheduling. You will coordinate office activities to maintain efficient patient flow and ensure privacy and compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities include verifying demographics, communicating financial responsibilities, and supporting the outpatient process. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with at least 1 year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.
• HIPAA/privacy compliance knowledge is beneficial.
• Excellent front-line customer service and communication skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in for appointments and verify demographics accurately.
• Inform patients about insurance requirements and collect necessary information.
• Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments and related tasks.
• Handle multi-channel patient inquiries and referrals as needed.
• Ensure proper completion of necessary regulatory and consent forms.
