Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in health care, spa or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for new and existing patients.
• Answer the telephone promptly and professionally.
• Obtain and enter demographic information into the EHR.
• Review appointment details with caller (date, time, location, provider).
• Inform new patients of items to bring to appointment.
• Remind new patients to arrive 15 minutes early for paperwork.
• Answer questions and provide patient-centered information.
• Reschedule patients as needed.
• Act as liaison for patients and the clinic.
• Direct calls to other departments as needed.
• Create telephone encounters for follow-up tasks/calls.
• Use sound judgment when handling calls.
• Know when to elevate calls to physicians/practice manager/triage nurse.
