Qualifications

  • Typing speed of 40 wpm or faster required.
  • Knowledge of patient registration, insurance, and hospital billing preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Register or pre-register all scheduled patients for admission, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
  • Coordinate with patients and scheduling to reschedule procedures until authorization or payment is arranged.
  • Request upfront deposits from responsible parties and update schedules for cancellations.
