Job summary

Seattle Children’s is seeking Patient Access Coordinators to support the pre-visit experience. The role involves registering patients, scheduling appointments in Cadence/OpTime, and coordinating care with other services to minimize delays.

We offer shifts from .8 to 1.0 FTE with a mix of days, evenings, and nights, and provide benefits including medical, dental, vision, and tuition reimbursement. Strong customer service and healthcare exposure are valued.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years customer service and/or administrative support experience, and/or healthcare experience with/without scheduling and registration experience.
  • Must complete Epic Training and obtain a passing score on EUPA test within two (2) weeks of start date.
  • Associate’s Degree or at least two (2) years of college coursework in health care or related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a health care setting or related field.
  • Significant experience working with the general public in a health care/customer service environment.

Responsibilities

  • Register patients and schedule appointments in Cadence and/or OpTime.
  • Coordinate care with other services and minimize access delays.
  • Process incoming referrals and triage patient telephone calls.
  • Send MyChart invitations and collect/update demographic and financial information.
  • Check in patients and collect copays and outstanding balances.
  • Inform of and collect signed consent for care.
  • Maintain infection prevention standards and participate in hospital initiatives.
