Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a patient access professional to greet and register patients, answer phone calls, and schedule appointments. You will also pull and file medical charts as needed, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information.

The role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a full-time schedule and benefits eligible. CPR certification may be required based on position and manager direction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• One year of health care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated computer skills with the ability to navigate most current technology systems.
• Strong administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; answer calls, schedule appointments, and file charts as indicated.
• Obtain accurate demographic, insurance, and physician information on registrations.
• Screen data to ensure patient eligibility for insurance and communicate differences to the customer.
• Screen registrations to ensure insurance pre-certification and physician referral requirements are met.
• Assist in shadowing/precepting of new employees.
