Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to act as a professional liaison for patients, families and care providers. The role involves coordinating complex scheduling requests across multiple systems, greeting patients, directing flow, and ensuring accurate, timely appointments.

The position is full-time, onsite, Monday–Friday, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to a renowned cancer research and clinical care team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to manage scheduling with accuracy and sensitivity.
• Strong communication with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and direct scheduling within clinic.
• Greet and screen patients; check in using scheduling system.
• Assemble and distribute paperwork to patients and clinical staff.
• Triage questions and forward to appropriate staff.
• Schedule all patient appointments and outside consults; coordinate with departments.
• Communicate scheduling needs to providers and staff; adjust plans as needed.
• Assist with training new staff and cross-coverage as required.
