Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and empathy in an emotionally challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clinic flow by coordinating with clinical staff to direct and monitor patient location.
• Greet and screen patients, check them in using an automated scheduling system.
• Distribute appropriate paperwork to patients and staff.
• Triages calls and forwards questions to the appropriate staff or department.
• Schedule all patient appointments related to treatment and outside consults; coordinate with other departments for efficient flow.
• Work with patients, families, visitors, providers, and staff to identify needs and follow up.
• Communicate scheduling needs and treatment plans with providers and nurses; notify parties as needed.
• Prioritize scheduling requests and manage emergencies.
• Support department functions and cover additional duties when needed.
• Assist with training of new staff.
