Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Registration and Scheduling Specialist to support Broadway and West Fargo locations. You will greet patients, verify demographics, collect payments, check in/out, and coordinate appointment scheduling with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Post-secondary education helpful.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential.
• Six months' customer service experience desired.
• May require BLS for certain locations and/or settings.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify demographics.
• Create, scan and route documents or electronic forms.
• Inform patients about documents and capture signatures when needed.
• Establish financial responsibility and assist with arrangements per policies.
• Collect co-payments, pre-payments, and payments on balances.
• May handle registration work queues to address errors or denied claims.
• Coordinate and schedule appointments with nursing team and providers.
• Obtain referrals and conduct pre-authorization.
• Arrange interpreter services and check patients in/out.
• Operate multi-line phone and manage recalls/waitlists as needed.
