Job summary

University Health seeks an administrative associate to accurately collect patient data for registration and scheduling in the Ambulatory Rehabilitation outpatient areas. You will assist with financial clearance and clearly communicate charges and estimates to patients, as well as collect co-pays, coinsurance, and other amounts due.

You must maintain strict confidentiality of patient records and deliver excellent customer service, in alignment with University Health standards and behaviors.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months of general office clerical experience is required.
• Two years of experience preferred; two years of related college coursework may substitute for 1 year of experience.
• College or commercial school courses in business functions are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secures and obtains accurate patient data for registration, scheduling, and support of outpatient areas.
• Supports financial clearance by obtaining and communicating charges and estimates to patients.
• Communicates with patients about charges and estimates and collects co-pays, coinsurance, and other monies owed.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of patient records and adheres to University Health standards.
• Provides excellent customer service in line with University Health policies.
