Job summary

JAG Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, manage appointments, and handle essential administrative tasks in a healthcare setting across locations in the region. The role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and coordination with insurance processes.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (medical assistant certificate preferred) and 1+ year experience in healthcare reception or administration, with strong organizational and interpersonal

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical assistant certificate program preferred.
• 1+ years of experience as a medical receptionist/administrative assistant in health care.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to JAG locations as per Travel policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in the medical office.
• Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary.
• Field all calls using the general office number.
• Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients.
• Register new patients and update necessary records.
• Distribute forms and paperwork to ensure required fields are completed.
• Daily collection of patient financial responsibility.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records.
• Complete and track insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals.
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and Auto claim submissions.
• Perform other diverse duties as requested or required.
