Job summary

JAG Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage essential administrative tasks across our outpatient facilities. You will verify insurance, collect patient payments, and maintain confidential records while supporting care delivery.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and teamwork, with travel across JAG locations for coverage. A high school diploma and 1+ year of health-care reception experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant certificate preferred.
• 1+ years of experience as a medical receptionist/administrative assistant in health care.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in the medical office.
• Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions.
• Field calls using the general office number.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments in medical office software.
• Register new patients and update records.
• Distribute forms to ensure required fields are completed.
• Daily collection of patient financial responsibility
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Complete and track insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals.
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and Auto claim submissions.
• Perform other duties as needed.
