Job summary

JAG Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage records across our NJ locations. You will coordinate insurance authorizations and referrals, handle patient questions, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, healthcare front desk experience, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a medical assistant certificate program preferred.
• 1+ years of experience as medical receptionist/administrative assistant in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in the medical office.
• Answer questions and provide directions as needed.
• Handle calls on the general office line.
• Schedule appointments using medical office software.
• Register new patients and update records.
• Distribute forms for required fields.
• Collect daily patient financial responsibilities.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Verify authorizations and referrals; process insurance tasks.
