Job summary

Cherry Health seeks a Patient Registration Specialist to serve as the frontline contact for patients. This role manages scheduling, insurance verification, billing inquiries, and patient questions with HIPAA-compliant confidentiality in a busy healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, customer service skills, and experience with electronic medical records. The position is on-site and requires strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
• Excellent communication and confidentiality skills required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact for patients and the public on scheduling, insurance eligibility, billing and collections.
• Greet patients and collect necessary documentation, verify insurance, obtain signatures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments to maintain productivity.
• Process payments and update patient information in the system.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and inventory; support data entry and reporting.
