Job summary

Cherry Health, based in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Specialist, Patient Registration to be the first point of contact for patients and the public. You will manage scheduling, verify insurance eligibility, assist with billing and collections, and respond to questions while upholding HIPAA and organizational policies.

This full-time onsite role supports a 8am–7pm schedule, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays and travel to other Cherry Health sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.
• One year of experience in a healthcare setting with electronic medical record experience.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients and staff; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect documentation, including insurance verification and signatures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments per guidelines.
• Collect patient information, update records, and process payments for services.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare productivity reports.
• Monitor schedules and assist in data reporting as requested.
• Manage office supplies and perform general clerical duties.
• Participate in ongoing education including CPR and required training.
