Responsibilities

• Change patient statuses within the EMR and Clearwave systems.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and determine co-pay amounts.
• Obtain and verify patient information and medical history.
• Coordinate referrals and scheduling for appointments and tests.
• Print payment charge details and explain charges to patients if needed.
• Comply with HIPAA rules when handling patient information.
• Cross-train to assist checkout or check-in when scheduled by supervisor.
• Follow up on time-sensitive tasks and communicate with supervisors as required.
