Qualifications

Certification in Patient Access (e.g., CHAA) preferred but not required.
Experience in healthcare patient registration, insurance verification, or customer service preferred.
Experience with EHR and scheduling software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and verify personal, financial, and insurance information for accuracy.
Input demographic and insurance details into the EHR system.
Ensure all forms are completed accurately and timely.
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility before appointments.
Obtain prior authorization for procedures as required by insurers.
Schedule patient appointments based on physician availability.
Provide patients with pre-appointment instructions and information.
Explain co-pays, deductibles, and insurance benefits before services.
Assist with payment options, setting up payment plans, and financial aid programs.
Act as liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies.
Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely.
