Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Scheduling Associate to coordinate patient procedures and services within our growing health system. You will register new and established outpatients, verify information, collect co-pays, and ensure accurate data entry to keep the schedule moving.

In this role you will confirm appointments, update preferred times, monitor waiting areas, and communicate status to patients.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
0-1 years related work experience.
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

Registers all new and established outpatients upon arrival, verifying, collecting co-payments, and updating required information with high accuracy.
Statuses all appointments at check-in; ensures proper posting of charges and updates future appointment requests.
Routinely rounds with patients in waiting areas and provides status updates on wait times and changes.
Monitors waiting areas for cleanliness and appearance.
Collaborates with the Access Center to schedule patients and create access; meets department productivity standards.
Works on scheduling work queues and recall lists by calling patients to set up appointments.
