Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a detail-oriented administrative professional to manage patient scheduling, registration, and insurance verification. You will coordinate tests, assist with revenue cycle activities, and ensure accurate data entry in the electronic health record.

The role requires at least one year in a clerical or revenue-cycle setting, with Epic EMR experience preferred. Day and evening shifts with Saturday rotation are possible in a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience.
• One year of keyboarding and general computer use experience.
• For Regional Positions only - valid driver’s license.
• One year of registration, point of service collection, insurance validation, and order release experience.
• One year of Revenue Cycle experience in a hospital/medical office setting.
• Previous Epic or equivalent Electronic Medical Record experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides complete patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and coordination of tests and services.
• Supports inbound and outbound calls to patients and resolves inquiries professionally.
• Performs insurance verification and monitors payor requirements for approvals and pre-authorizations.
• Prepares and releases records and orders in the electronic health record and routes documents as needed.
• Manages patient communications about co-pays, arrival times, and pre-appointment instructions.
