Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will collect patient data, verify insurance, and schedule appointments to ensure a smooth registration and financial intake process.

You will work with providers, payors, and patients to document information for billing, coordinate prior authorizations, and communicate financial responsibilities. HIPAA compliance is required, and prior experience in a healthcare setting is helpful.

Qualifications

• Certification in Patient Access (e.g., CHAA) preferred but not required.
• Experience in patient registration, insurance verification or customer service preferred.
• Experience with EHR and scheduling software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify personal, financial, and insurance information for accuracy.
• Input demographic and insurance details into the EHR system.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments or procedures.
• Obtain prior authorization for procedures as required by insurers.
• Schedule patient appointments based on physician availability and needs.
• Explain co-pays, deductibles, and insurance benefits before service.
