Responsibilities

• Greets, welcomes, and expedites patients at check-in while updating staff on delays
• Instructs patients on completion of forms and explains insurance benefits
• Scans new patient information and updates records in the computer system
• Verifies rehabilitation benefits and documents them in paper and in the system
• Collects co-pays, deductibles, and any outstanding balances at the time of service
• Schedules appointments with the rehabilitation clinician and informs patients of delays
• Maintains cash drawer/petty cash and reconciles discrepancies
• Assists with back-office duties as needed to support patient access operations
