Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics seeks a Patient Appointment Scheduler to ensure efficient orthopedic office operations by handling all facets of patient scheduling. You will book, confirm, and reschedule consultations, procedures, and follow-ups while ensuring accurate data entry and insurance verification.

You will interact with patients and staff with professionalism and organization to manage a high volume of appointments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in healthcare scheduling, preferably orthopedic.
• HIPAA compliance knowledge.
• Certifications in medical administration or scheduling software are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate patient appointment schedules, including booking, rescheduling, and cancellations.
• Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and eligibility prior to scheduling.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions in the scheduling system or EMR.
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure appointment availability and resolve conflicts.
• Provide courteous and efficient assistance to patients, answering inquiries regarding appointments and policies.
• Monitor appointment reminders and follow-up communications with patients to confirm visits.
• Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
